Meet “Alim,” a worldview-specific chatbot that ministers to the Muslim community. Alim’s corpus includes apologetics materials from Muslim-serving ministries and apologists around the globe. Our partners in this endeavor include the Zwemer Center for Muslim Studies, various contributors from the Answering Islam website, as well as other fruitful ministries around the world that we cannot mention due to security concerns in the countries in which they operate. In addition to the curated corpus available to Alim, great care was taken to instruct the chatbot to use terms Muslims would use and identify with, as well as to appeal to the Quran itself to make its case for Christ’s deity.
Try it out at: alim.apologist.ai
Alim currently supports Arabic, Indonesian, and Turkish — in addition to the 10 languages Apologist Agent (apologist.ai) already supported. We will be adding languages and improving the translations in the future.
The Apologist Project won 2nd place in our category at last weekend’s Gloo AI & the Church hackathon. Over the coming months, we will be building out similar worldview-specific conversational AIs in cooperation with ministries that serve those communities. If you or anyone you know is involved in ministering to a particular worldview, please reach out to have a chat.
